In the Spotlight at Ilfracombe - Roy!

Dogs Trust Ilfracombe appeal for a forever home for Roy.

Roy, an eighteen-month-old Greyhound looking for a forever home.

Roy is a handsome eighteen-month-old Greyhound who is looking for a home from Dogs Trust Ilfracombe.

Roy walks beautifully on his lead, right by your side. In the garden he enjoys a sprint around and a play with squeaky toys, and then he’s happy to chill and relax on a nice comfy bed. People may be put off rehoming a Greyhound due to the common misconception that they need lots of exercise. However, it is quite the opposite! Greyhounds love to run and burn off their energy, but they can only sustain this for a short amount of time and then need a good nap.

Roy is quite a shy boy when it comes to new people and new situations, he needs a little time to build a bond and to build confidence. He can be worried by sudden movements and things dropping therefore would suit a quiet home environment with walks away from the hustle and bustle.

Roy is looking for a loving home where he could live with family members aged twelve-years-old and over. He would love a garden to play in and he is happy with car travel. He could possibly live with another dog in the home but probably not cats or small furries.

If you think you can give Roy the loving, forever home he deserves, then please give our Canine Carers a call at our Ilfracombe Rehoming Centre on 01271 812709, we are open every day between 12noon and 4pm except Wednesday when we are open from 4.30pm until 7.30pm.
