COVID-19 info: Our rehoming centres are currently closed to the public but you can still adopt some of our dogs: take a look at their profiles to see which ones. We’ve set up a new rehoming process which includes social distancing measures to help keep staff and adopters safe.

In the spotlight at Ilfracombe - Mo!

Ex-racing Greyhound Mo is looking for a forever home

Mo the Greyhound at Dogs Trust Ilfracombe

Mo is a handsome three-year-old ex-racing Greyhound who is looking for a home from Dogs Trust Ilfracombe Rehoming Centre.

Mo is a true gentleman who meets and greets people in a polite and friendly manner. He walks beautifully on his lead right by your side. He likes a fuss and loves company making him the perfect companion. He is happy to travel in the car, likes to play with toys and when he has had his exercise his favourite thing to do is stretch out on a nice comfy bed and take a nap.

People may be put off rehoming a Greyhound due to the common misconception that they need lots of exercise. However, it is quite the opposite! Greyhounds love to run and burn off their energy, but they can only sustain for a short amount of time and then need a good nap.

Mo is looking for a loving home where he could live with family members as young as eleven-years-old. He would love a garden to play in. He would like to be the only pet in the home, but have suitable, calm, friendly canine friends to go for walks with. He likes to chase, so no cats or small furries in the home please.

If you think you can give Mo the loving, forever home he deserves, then please give our Canine Carers a call at our Ilfracombe Rehoming Centre on 01271 812709.

We are open every day between 12noon and 4pm except Wednesday when we are open from 4.30pm until 7.30pm.
