In the spotlight at Ilfracombe - Harper!

Energetic two-year-old chocolate Labrador Harper is looking for his forever home

Harper is a two-year-old chocolate Labrador, who is looking for a home at Dogs Trust Ilfracombe Rehoming Centre.

Harper is energetic and playful, bouncy and fun. Harper likes to be on the go! He enjoys playing with toys and he is keen and enthusiastic to learn new things. Once he knows and trusts you, he’s affectionate and likes a fuss. However, he is worried by some people and he is afraid of strangers and dogs approaching him; He happily wears a muzzle when out and about on walks. Harper will need quiet walks and he happily jumps in a car to find those remote, peaceful locations.

Harper is looking for a patient and understanding, active adult only home. He is not used to a home environment, so adopters will need to give him time to settle. He will need a home in a quiet environment, without too many visitors. His walks need to be in quiet locations and he will need somebody around for most of the day, with time left alone built up gradually. Adopters will need to visit Harper a few times to build a bond and have sessions with our trainers to get the confidence and know how to carry on with Harper’s training once he has been adopted.

If you think you can give Harper the loving, forever home he deserves, then please give our Canine Carers a call at our Ilfracombe Rehoming Centre on 01271 812709, we are open every day between 12noon and 4pm except Wednesday when we are open from 4.30pm until 7.30pm.
