Man’s best friend seeks perfect pal

Staff at Dogs Trust Darlington are hoping Friendship Day (7th August) brings with it a new home for two adorable friends at the Sadberge Rehoming Centre.

Two collie crosses, Bella and Bruce, are looking for a new home together as they are totally inseparable. Bella and Bruce lived together in their previous home and are looking for someone who will adore them as much as they adore each other.

Sue Embleton, Rehoming Centre Manager at Dogs Trust Darlington, said:

“We all benefit from having great friends that we can share ups and downs with, and it’s the same for man’s best friend.

“Dogs are the most loving, loyal companions who can be relied on to be there to greet you with a wagging tail, often even if you’ve only been away a moment! They listen to all your stories, never judging and they can bring a smile to your face at any time. Who could ask for more from a friendship?

“Bella and Bruce need to be rehomed together as they are the best of friends so whoever is interested in adopting them will be getting twice the love in return.”

This gorgeous one-year-old duo would benefit from a quieter home where they will be given space to settle in and adjust to their new surroundings. Bruce can be shy at first but warms to new people quickly and would like an owner who will be around most of the day.

Sue comments:

“It would be wonderful if we could see them heading to their news home in time to enjoy the special day. It would be the happiest of goodbyes for us and the start of a wonderful friendship for life.”
