Judy Furry is top dog at Darlington
The team at Dogs Trust Darlington have welcomed a new ‘celebrity’ resident into their care; Judy Furry, named after the world number one tennis player’s mother Judy Murray. Judy is already a hit with canine carers at the Rehoming Centre and with Wimbledon 2017 heating up; all eyes will be on both of them while they both wait patiently on a perfect match.
Although Judy arrived at the Sadberge Rehoming Centre already named, canine carers believe she has been named after the famous tennis coach due to the many similar character traits that make them two - or deuce - of a kind. The eight-year-old Bull Mastiff loves playing and interacting with others and would benefit from an ‘ace’ adult only home with no other dogs as Judy can be particular about her other canine companions.
Sue Embleton, Rehoming Centre Manager at Dogs Trust Darlington, said:
“Judy is a gorgeous girl, who has lots in common with Judy Murray. They both have strong personalities; lots of character and their striking blonde hair make them a force to be reckoned with.
“We’d love to hear from experienced dog owners who know ‘a dog is for life’, are happy to give Judy the space she needs to adjust to her new surroundings and let her settle in. Judy is a huge fan of playing games, especially if there is a ball involved and will be your best friend for a tasty treat.”
