Can happy Halloween hound find his special someone?
Dogs Trust Darlington seeks magical new family for homeless hound
They say that black cats bring with them good luck but what about a black dog? Blue, the six-year-old Labrador who has been at the Sadberge Rehoming Centre for nearly a year, is hoping this Halloween will bring him a magical new home.
This playful pooch is always willing to do some ‘tricks for treats’ and is a very fast learner. He is looking for an experienced dog owner who can keep him active as he is a very energetic boy nicknamed ‘Super Blue’ by the team at Dogs Trust Darlington.
Sue Embleton, Rehoming Centre Manager at Dogs Trust Darlington, said:
“At this stage in Blue’s life we are hoping he will find a nice adult only home with owners who believe a dog is for life. We have a good feeling that the right home is just around the corner because he has such a great character.
“Blue was brought to us around this time last year so we are eager to make sure he has a new owner before the clock strikes ‘witching hour’ on Halloween.”
Potential owners should be willing to continue Blue’s training and will receive advice and support from Dogs Trust’s Training & Behaviour team based at the Darlington Rehoming Centre. The secret potion to ensure Blue gets a happy home is a splash of love, a dash of caring and a pinch of patience.
