Come Rain Or Shine Keith Gives His Time
At Dogs Trust Darlington we appreciate the contribution made by all of our volunteers from kennel cleaning, dog walking, grooming and home visits to providing administration support in the reception area.
Volunteers are supervised by our Volunteer Coordinator Leigh Raw and the hours they contribute are recorded. When certain milestones are reached their contribution is celebrated.
Keith started as a volunteer in February 2013 and has now completed over 1000 hours of dog walking. Keith has turned up to the centre come rain or shine, warm days and those that are freezing cold. His favourite fury friends tend to be our greyhounds, a particular favourite was Ben who has recently been rehomed. Keith also has a soft spot German Shepherds although it is fair to say that he is more than happy to walk any dog regardless of shape, size, energy levels, breed or age.
Occasionally Keith has been unable to walk dogs he has helped around the centre with maintenance tasks, for example, painting of the benches that are very well used. Keith has a certificate and pin badge for giving 1000 hours of his time to the Rehoming Centre.
Everyone at the centre cannot thank Keith enough for everything he does and we are sure that the dogs appreciate him even more!!!
