Rowland ready for his happy ever after
Rowland is a 2-year-old greyhound cross collie who first came to Dogs Trust Darlington in February 2018 after being found as a stray.
He is a beautiful boy, who is very loving, and people orientated although he can be sensitive at times.
This young man has not had the easiest start in life, not only was he found as a stray at the age of just 6 months he has also had surgery three times to his rear left leg.
The first two times were limb saving surgery which unfortunately were not successful. The only remaining option left was full limb amputation which he had at the start of 2020 and from which he is now making a good recovery. Rowland is getting used to life as a tri-ped and is on light exercise at this moment in time.
Rowland spends much of his time in the office as he does like human company and he is very well behaved. He is just happy to lie on his cosy bed with his toys and have a lazy day. Rowland loves his toys and the soft, squeaky ones are his favourite. He’s very gentle with them and takes really good care of them, no toy explosions here!
In his new home Rowland would like:
- Someone around for most of the day
- To be the only pet in the home
- A garden for playtime and gentle exercise
- Lots of soft & squeaky toys
Rowland is ready for his happy ever after, could you be the one to give this handsome boy the amazing life he deserves?
Rowland is just one of over 65 dogs currently looking for a home at the centre and in foster care. We have an amazing selection of shapes, sizes, ages and breeds that are looking for a wide variety of homes.
