COVID-19 info: Our rehoming centres are currently closed to the public but you can still adopt some of our dogs: take a look at their profiles to see which ones. We’ve set up a new rehoming process which includes social distancing measures to help keep staff and adopters safe.

Thomas – All ears for news of a forever home

Dogs Trust Darlington’s Thomas is a 5-year-old lurcher who has the most amazing ears.  They certainly pricked up upon hearing that he was to be our “Dog of the Month” for October and Thomas is now all ears for any news of a new home being found.

Thomas is quite a timid guy when meeting new people but once he has made friends his playful side really shines out.  His love of squeaky toys is the key to making friends with this handsome boy and Thomas has his ears to the ground listening out for anyone who will enjoy playing a game of fetch.

Thomas is looking for a quiet and calm home with minimal visitors and no visiting children.  Once settled into his new home he is looking for an active lifestyle as he does have plenty of energy and enjoys his exercise.  A home where his humans are around for most of the day would be just the ticket as he really enjoys company.

We really hope that this rehoming appeal doesn’t fall on deaf ears and that Thomas gets to meet his perfect match.  To find his forever home would be music both to his and our ears.

Thomas is just one of over 60 dogs currently looking for a home both at the centre and in foster homes.  We have an amazing selection of shapes, sizes, ages and breeds that are looking for a wide variety of homes.
