Dogs Trust

UPDATE: Our rehoming centres are closed until further notice, however we are now able to rehome a small number of our amazing dogs. Each dog’s profile will let you know if they are looking for a new home. For the time-being, we are unable to register your interest for dogs who are not yet available for rehoming.

Mischievous Mackie

In the spotlight at Darlington - Mackie!

Hi, my name is Mackie I am a 4-year-old terrier cross and I am a super-cute, very busy little man.

I arrived at Dogs Trust Darlington in November 2017 and three weeks later I was adopted and went to live with my new family. Unfortunately this did not work out and in April 2018 I returned to Dogs Trust. Since then I have been patiently waiting for my Special Someone to come along.

Probably my most favourite thing in life is playing with my toys; I have lots of energy and can happily keep myself entertained for hours and play the day away.

I do get lots of people asking about me which is really great, however I do have some very specific requirements that I am looking for in my new home. If you can with your hand on your heart say a big 100 percent yes to my wish list below then please think about whether I could be the one for you.

My Forever Home Checklist

  • An adult only quiet home, preferably with only one person living there
  • Infrequent visitors
  • A home where I am the only pet
  • Baby gates and/or a place for an indoor kennel so that I can have my own space
  • No neighbouring dogs
  • Be able to walk me in quiet areas

If you can meet everything on my wish list and would appreciate the company of a busy, independent little terrier then I could be the one for you.  Check out my profile for more photos and my video.  Before travelling to the centre please contact the Dogs Trust Darlington training team on 01324 333114 to further discuss my requirements in a home.
