Dogs Trust

COVID-19 info: Our rehoming centres are currently closed to the public but you can still adopt some of our dogs: take a look at their profiles to see which ones. We’ve set up a new rehoming process which includes social distancing measures to help keep staff and adopters safe.

The wonderful things about Tigger!

Meet Tigger, Dogs Trust Darlington's Dog of the Month.

Tigger, a nine year old Crossbreed, with her tongue out in a field.

Dogs Trust Darlington’s Tigger is a 9-year-old crossbreed who is full of bouncy fun, fun, fun!

She is a sweet girl who needs to be allowed to make friends with new people in her own time. Once she does Tigger will be your friend for life and be great company. She loves playing with her toys, especially squeaky ones, and gives great cuddles once she has made friends with you.

Tigger may be one of our golden oldies but is still a very active lady and really enjoys getting out and about exploring. Walks in quiet areas are great for Tigger as she is not keen on the company of other dogs or unexpectedly meeting new people.

In her new home Tigger is looking for:

  • A quiet, adult only home
  • To be the only pet
  • Someone around for most of the time as she does like the company of her family
  • A secure garden to play in

Some wonderful things about Tigger:

  • She is full of fun
  • Gives great cuddles
  • Has oodles of personality
  • She is a very pretty “Piglet” sized German Shepherd

Tigger is currently in a loving foster home where she is doing very well.  If you wish to make her acquaintance, then please call the Darlington Rehoming Centre and ask to speak to our Home from Home Coordinators who can arrange for you to meet her.

Tigger is just one of over 80 dogs currently looking for a home both at the centre and in foster homes. We have an amazing selection of shapes, sizes, ages and breeds that are looking for a wide variety of homes. For more information on Tigger or any of the other lovely dogs we have at Dogs Trust Darlington please contact the centre on 01325 333114, visit the website or email us at [email protected]
