UPDATE: Our rehoming centres are closed until further notice, however we are now able to rehome a small number of our amazing dogs. Each dog’s profile will let you know if they are looking for a new home. For the time-being, we are unable to register your interest for dogs who are not yet available for rehoming.

Kents 'loneliest dog' is looking for love this Valentine's Day

Staff at Dogs Trust Canterbury are hoping an overlooked rescue dog finds love this Valentine’s day after ten months waiting for that special someone at Dogs Trust.

Crossbreed Fionn is described by staff as a “wonderful dog” with tonnes of love to give, yet he sadly continues to be ignored by potential adopters. Staff are concerned he is becoming lonelier by the day, despite being showered with affection by his canine carers, as he hasn’t a special home to call his own. His carers and canine chums alike all have their fingers and paws crossed that he’ll be whisked off to his forever home ahead of the most romantic weekend of the year.

Dogs Trust Canterbury Rehoming Centre Manager, Adam Levy explains: “All of us at the Rehoming Centre adore Fionn as he is such a special boy. Fionn arrived at the Rehoming Centre back in August last year. He can be a little shy at first once he gets to know you he will best friend for file.

“He is a very sweet natured boy who will often look to you for reassurance when he is not sure what is going on. He’s a super handsome dog with a fantastic personality so we just can’t work out why nobody wants him. All of us at Dogs Trust Canterbury are hoping, this Valentine’s Day, somebody out there realises Fionn is their “pawfect” match!”

Four year old Fionn loves tucking into his tasty chews or playing with his toys. He is good at learning new tricks and a new owner will enjoy teaching him agility. He especially loves delicious doggy treats and lots of cuddles.
