COVID-19 info: Our rehoming centres are not open for public browsing but you can still make an appointment to adopt or bring a dog to us. We’ve set up new processes which include social distancing measures to help keep staff and our visitors safe.

Volunteering Vacancies at Dogs Trust Canterbury

Here at Dogs Trust Canterbury our dedicated volunteer team work hard alongside the staff to care for over 80 dogs each and every day. We cannot thank them enough for the 3,388 hours of time given to us in 2019.

Please note, you must be 18 or over to apply for a volunteer role at the rehoming centre.

Volunteer Foster Carers

Dogs Trust Canterbury are currently looking for Foster Carers that are willing and able to take in dogs that may require a certain amount of training and/or behavioural modification; separation anxiety, confidence building, toilet training etc. The ideal candidates will need to be at home for the vast majority of the day and have no cats, dogs or young children living at the property.
