In the spotlight at Canterbury - Tink!
Here at Dogs Trust we see dogs or all shapes and sizes with an array of needs.
Following World Hearing Day on Saturday we caught up with former Dogs Trust Canterbury doggy Tink, our deaf staffie.
Tink found her forever home with one of our Canine Carers, Liz and her husky malamute cross, Reggie 9 months ago.
Originally picked up as a stray by the dog warden, she came to us at Dog Trust where we could accommodate her special needs and give her the additional training she needed to help her find the right home.
Luckily for Tink, who is completely deaf, Liz fell in love with her and the little lady went home. Tink now wears a special ‘deaf dog’ bandana and lead to help with awareness whilst on her walks and is continuing her training with time and patience and the support of the behavioural team.
