Dogs Trust

UPDATE: Our rehoming centres are closed until further notice, however we are now able to rehome a small number of our amazing dogs. Each dog’s profile will let you know if they are looking for a new home. For the time-being, we are unable to register your interest for dogs who are not yet available for rehoming.

In the spotlight at Canterbury - Pongo!

Three-year-old Dalmatian looking for his forever home

Pongo the Dalmation at Dogs Trust Canterbury

Once Pongo the stunning three-year-old Dalmatian knows you, he is a typical bouncy Dalmatian who is full of energy.

Pongo loves toys and treats a little too much and does not like to share, which means he needs to be the only dog in the home. He really enjoys playing chase with his toys and his love of food will help with his training. Our training and behaviour team will offer advice and support around Pongo's resource guarding.

Pongo is looking for an active home who will continue with his training and help build his confidence. He must be the only dog in the home and can live with children aged 16 years and over that will give him his space when he needs it. Once settled Pongo can potentially be left for a few hours but this will need to be built up. Pongo cannot live with cats.
