Trixie is 600th dog to find a happy home on unluckiest day of the year

Friday 13th isn’t so unlucky for one of Dogs Trust Bridgend’s residents who has become the 600th dog to find its ‘pawfect’ home on one of the unluckiest days of the year.

Five-year-old Greyhound, Trixie, arrived at the Pen-y-Fai-based rehoming centre in September 2017 and, despite the superstition that Friday 13th brings bad luck, it appears fate was on her side and she has now begun a new life with her new owner, Christine Chave from Bridgend.

Angela Wetherall, Rehoming Centre Manager at Dogs Trust Bridgend, said:

“The team are delighted to have found new homes for so many dogs already this year and we’re so pleased that Trixie is one of them, she’s really landed on her paws!

“There are lots more dogs still waiting to find their special someone here at the rehoming centre, so if you’re thinking about adding a four-legged friend to your home please come and visit us.”

Trixie’s new owner, Christine, said:

“We’re so excited to have Trixie in our family. She’s a beautiful girl with a wonderful temperament and we hope she’ll be really happy in her new home.”
