About Tunbridge Wells
Royal Tunbridge Well (often shortened to Tunbridge Wells) is a large town in western Kent, about 40 miles south east of London and near the county of East Sussex border.
400 years ago a natural spring welled up from the ground. And it was named “The Tunbridge Wells”. The town came into being as a spa in the Restoration and had its heyday as a tourist resort under Beau Nash when the Pantiles and its chalybeate spring attracted visitors who wished to take the waters. Though its popularity waned with the advent of sea bathing, the town remains popular and derives some 30 per cent of its income from the tourist industry.
A combination of specialist shops with big high street names, in a charming and historic setting, makes the town a popular destination with all kinds of shoppers, especially those looking to blend a little bit of retail therapy with a spa break.
Situated close to the heart of the charming town centre, our shop is located on Monson Road, with convenient access to a bus stop and close to the Town Hall and Library. A local farmers market is held on the second and forth Saturday of every month on Civic Way, outside the Town Hall.
The Crescent Road car park leads directly to Monson Road.
