Covid-19 update April 2021: Our rehoming centres are currently closed to the public for general browsing. We’re still rehoming virtually and we’re here to help if you can no longer care for your dog. Please don’t visit, or travel to our centres unless you have already been matched with a dog, or are leaving donations at one of our contact-free drop off points.

Billy from Leeds

We came to Dogs Trust Leeds with another dog in mind but when we saw Billy in his kennel we just fell in love. Our first meeting was a little awkward as he was very anxious and unsure but we persevered and after a few weeks of regularly visits we gained his trust and finally brought him home. He quickly flourished in the home environment and really came out of his shell. Now he is a different dog to the one we first met. He’s a big goofball and makes us laugh every day. He loves cuddles and even sleeps in bed with us. He loves going on his walks and running around with a big stick in his mouth. He has brought so much joy and laughter to our lives, we can’t thank The Dogs Trust enough for bringing us together!
