When I was 14 we came to dogs trust to 'have a look' and it was love at first sight with our gorgeous pup Rocky, so after years of talking about getting a dog with my boyfriend I knew that Dogs Trust would be the place to 'have a look' - and I was right!
Ella was in her kennel with her brother George and another dog and I just KNEW she was our dog. She was incredibly shy as we took her for a walk but as we sat down on the grass with her it was clear all she wanted was love and affection. I turned to my partner and that was it, before we knew it all the paperwork and home visit was done and she was home.
So far we've been on adventures to the Northumberland coast, all over the north east and we're about to have a family 'holiday' to Hadrians wall & Keilder Forest!
She is still learning to trust new people and we're also working on trying to stop her bouncy tigger impression when she meets a new furry friend but every day she makes progress. Everyone she meets loves her and comments on how beautiful she is - when she's not sticking her little tongue out!
Ella has brought so much joy and laughter to our lives and we absolutely love every day with her (even if she hogs the bed). I hope she's as happy in her home with us as we are to have her.
