Bryn

I'm looking for my forever home. Could you be my perfect match?

Are you right for Bryn?

Meet Bryn, a truly gentle giant with a heart as big as his paws. This handsome four-year-old St Bernard cross walks beautifully on the lead and is searching for a loving forever home with patient, kind, and understanding adult adopters who will help him continue to grow in confidence. Bryn would like to be the only dog in the home, but he's more than happy to have canine friends to socialize with while out on walks. Bryn has not shown any interest in cats, small animals, or livestock whilst on walks. Bryn is housetrained. He can be left at home alone for up to a few hours and simply settles down, patiently waiting for you to return. Although Bryn can be a little worried by new places and unfamiliar situations, he simply looks to his favourite person for reassurance. With a calm approach and plenty of encouragement, his confidence continues to blossom. To help him settle into his new home, he'll benefit from quiet walks and a gentle introduction to his new routine, allowing him to take everything at his own pace.

Is Bryn right for you?

Bryn is incredibly affectionate and loves to lean in for snuggles. He would fit on your lap if he could, he truly is the ultimate snuggle buddy. A cosy night in watching a film – Bryn is in! Bryn has been a little shy when meeting new people, particularly men, but with a good introduction plan, he has successfully made lots of new friends in his previous home. He's a big foodie and loves enrichment activities that challenge his clever mind. In fact, Bryn previously attended obedience and agility classes, where he showed just how intelligent and eager to learn he is. While he was more than capable of mastering the exercises, he also had a wonderfully goofy side and was known for keeping everyone smiling with the occasional spontaneous zoomie or dramatic roll around on the floor. He really was the class clown! Out on walks, Bryn is a pleasure to be around. He enjoys taking life at a steady pace, happily sniffing and exploring the world around him. He's comfortable around other dogs and is equally happy to stop for a polite greeting or simply stroll past and continue on his way. If you're looking for a loyal, loving companion who will reward your patience with endless affection, a dog who is as clever as he is cuddly, and who will make you laugh with his wonderfully goofy personality, Bryn could be the perfect addition to your family.

How our rehoming process works

  1. 1

Create an account and fill out our application form

In our form you can tell us all about your home, your lifestyle and the kind of dogs you’re interested in. You won’t be applying for a specific dog, but you can add favourites to give us an idea of the dogs you like. We’ll use this information to find a great match for you.

  2. 2

    Choose a rehoming centre

We’ll also ask you to select a rehoming centre. The team at this centre will look after your application and assess you against all suitable dogs in their care. This doesn’t have to be your nearest centre, but you will need to travel there within a few days once we’ve found...

    We’ll review your application

We’ll review your application against the dogs in our care at your chosen centre. If we think we have the right dog for you, we’ll be in touch as soon as possible. If we don’t hear back from you, we will close your application for now, and you can reapply when you’re ready.

If we’ve found a dog who seems right for you, we’ll invite you to come and meet them at the rehoming centre.

Some of the dogs in our care will need to meet potential owners several times to get to know one another. This lets us see you’re compatible and gives you the chance to build a bond before making a commitment to give them a new home. By taking some time at the beginning to make sure everyone’s comfortable, an adoption is more likely to be successful.

We may also arrange a home visit with you, to see how your house will be set up and check that the garden (if you have one) is secure. This may not be necessary, though, especially if you’ve adopted from us before. Where you already have dogs, we may accept a reference from your vet as an alternative.

  6. 6

If we haven’t found the right match, we’ll continue the search together

If we haven’t found the right dog for you within three months, we’ll let you know your application is closed. We’ll invite you to apply again so we have up-to-date information about you, and we’ll keep looking.
