Delores

Delores is a truly special young Rottweiler cross who has completely stolen the hearts of everyone at the centre. She's a sweet, playful and affectionate girl with a huge zest for life, and she's looking for a family who will enjoy helping her continue to grow in confidence and learn all about the world around her. Delores has very limited hearing, so she relies more on visual cues than sounds. This is something her new family will need to be mindful of, but it's something she copes with brilliantly, and our team will provide guidance on communicating with her. Like many young dogs, Delores can be very excited when meeting people. She loves saying hello and can be a little bouncy, sometimes jumping up or gently mouthing in her excitement. With calm introductions, structured play and positive, reward-based training, she's already making lovely progress with her manners. Delores would thrive in a home with confident, dog-savvy teenagers who understand her playful and boisterous nature. She'd also love a private, secure garden where she can play, sniff and relax, and a quieter household with fewer visitors while she settles into her new routine. We're looking for Delores to live with another confident, playful dog who can be a great companion and help her navigate everyday life. She enjoys canine company and would benefit from having a well-matched dog alongside her. Any time spent alone will need to be introduced gradually, as she's still learning that it's okay to relax on her own. With patience, consistency and lots of encouragement, Delores has all the potential to become a wonderfully loyal, loving and fun companion.

Delores is a wonderful young dog with a huge personality and an even bigger heart. She absolutely loves being around people and is happiest when she's part of whatever you're doing, whether that's following you from room to room or curling up beside you on the sofa for a cuddle. During her time in foster, she took a little while to explore her new surroundings, but it wasn't long before her affectionate, playful nature began to shine through. Toys are one of Delores' favourite things, and she's brilliant at keeping herself entertained. She especially loves a game of tug with her favourite people and is always ready for a fun play session. Like many young dogs, she can get a little carried away when she's having the best time, so she'll benefit from calm, structured play and regular breaks to help her settle. She's also incredibly food-motivated, making her a joy to train with positive, reward-based methods. She already has lovely manners when taking treats and will happily sit and wait for one. Out on walks, Delores is curious and loves exploring the world around her. She enjoys taking everything in at her own pace and will often look to her handler for reassurance if something catches her by surprise. Delores travels brilliantly in the car and would love a family who will include her on adventures, as she's a sociable girl who enjoys getting out and about. Delores has shown lovely, playful interactions with other dogs and has enjoyed walking alongside canine friends at the centre. We'd love to see her matched with a confident, playful dog who can be both a companion and help her navigate the world. Delores is looking for a patient, understanding family who will embrace her enthusiasm and continue helping her grow in confidence. In return, she'll reward them with endless affection, plenty of laughs, and a lifetime of cuddles, playtime, and loyal companionship.
