Are you right for Hudson?

Hudson is a 3-year-old Rottweiler searching for his forever home with patient, caring adults. He would need to be the only pet in the household, as he can be wary of both strangers and other dogs. Once Hudson gets to know you, however, he is a very affectionate and cuddly boy who forms strong bonds with his people. Hudson would thrive in a quiet home environment, ideally in a location where he won’t regularly encounter lots of people or animals on his walks. He is muzzle trained and will need to wear a muzzle and remain on a lead while out in public. Our training and behaviour team will provide plenty of support, advice, and guidance throughout the adoption process. Several visits to the centre will be required so Hudson can get to know his potential adopters, and home visits will also be part of the process before adoption can be finalised. Once settled, Hudson can be left alone for up to four hours, although this will need to be built up gradually. He would also benefit from access to a secure, private outdoor space where he can relax and explore. Hudson does have some ongoing medical needs, which will be discussed in detail with prospective adopters.

Is Hudson right for you?

This lovely boy chews a treat calmly, he loves his food and is not fussy about what he has which is great for ongoing training and building friendship. He travels well in a car and would outdoor adventures giving him the chance to explore. When Hudson knows you his cheeky fun personality shines, he will make a lovely addition to any home. Potential adopters need to have experience of the breed and the capacity to continue training. Handsome Hudson is a big bouncy guy that needs a lot of love, patience and understanding to be the best Rottie he can be.
