Are you right for Dean?

Dean, a 1-year-old Poodle cross, and McQueen, a 4-year-old Poodle cross, are a devoted duo looking for a patient home where they can continue life side by side. Having had a very sheltered start to life, they will need calm and understanding adopters who can open their world gradually. These sensitive boys will need to live in an adult only household in a smaller residential or rural location, somewhere peaceful with very low traffic and access to quiet areas. They will need their own secure garden and a gentle settling-in period where they can use the garden to continue working on their toilet training and gaining confidence. As they are not used to the wider world, walks, car travel and new experiences will need to be introduced very gradually and at their pace. Rare visitors would suit them best for now, as lots of change can feel overwhelming, but with patient adopters and growing confidence, their world can slowly become bigger and brighter.

Is Dean right for you?

Dean is the younger of the pair and a shy but quietly charming boy with an independent streak. He enjoys playing with other dogs and takes comfort from having McQueen by his side, sharing games, naps and companionship. While he can be unsure around new people, Dean has so much potential in the right hands and is looking for adopters who will let him blossom naturally without pressure. With time, kindness and consistency, Dean is likely to become a wonderfully rewarding companion who will delight in gentle routines, playful moments and the security of knowing he is loved.
