Are you right for Spritz?

Meet the lovely little lad Spritz! He's just under a year old and has arrived with us with little known about his past, but he has spent a short time in a home. Spritz is a super smart little lad and loves showing of his tricks for a treat or two. Spritz has been mostly housetrained but will likely need a little refresher as he settles into his forever home. Spritz loves to play with toys, but he isn't quite as confident as he seems. His new family will need to be understanding of his worries and learn to read his body language when he may been feeling overwhelmed. This means he is looking for an adult only home with patient and understanding adopters who can spend time getting to know him. Whilst Spritz often comes across as outgoing he can find things such as handling and meeting new people a little frightening. His new family will need to be committed to visiting him here at the centre a few times before he's ready to head off home. He also isn't a big fan of sharing his favourite things, such as food and toys he deems of value, so he's learning how to swap and drop these items for a reward. Spritz enjoys socialising with calm and polite dogs, but can really lack in confidence so for now he'd like to be the only pet in his forever home. He would benefit from having regular socialisation with some doggy pals who can help guide him and teach him all he needs to know.

Is Spritz right for you?

Spritz is a wonderful boy who has so much potential. He's a real clever clogs and loves to show of his amazing tricks! Spritz does love going out and about for walkies and exploring new places, but it's important that his new family can advocate for his space when he's feeling overwhelmed. Whilst he can be affectionate with his trusted friends, he's an independent lad who is more than happy to do his own thing!
