Are you right for Cooper?

Are you looking for a bit of a training project? If so, Cooper might just be what you’re looking for as he’s only young and has heaps of potential given the right environment. Cooper is friendly but masks his anxious side with over-the-top behaviours such as jumping up and mouthing. For this reason he’s looking for an adult-only home with no visiting children. Dog mixing is one of Cooper’s favourite things in the world but he is very over-the-top and can guard items from his doggy friends. He could live with other dogs provided they can cope with him and suitable management is put in place. Either way, doggy walking friends would be welcomed! Cooper gets overwhelmed quite easily and a secure garden of his own will be an excellent outlet to help him enjoy outside time in a low-stress environment. Cooper is currently spending time in one of our foster homes.

Is Cooper right for you?

Charismatic Cooper has all the making of an excellent, full-of-beans, playful dog, but currently finds the world all too much. He’s only one year old and has had quite a bit of change in his life. He came into our care as he was struggling to cope in quite a busy home environment, and really needs a family to help get him back on track. Most of all he would appreciate things being kept calm so he can find his inner zen. Cooper is easily over-stimulated so we’re working on better coping strategies with him and will support his family to continue these in the home. Cooper will benefit from a reintroduction to the basics such as housetraining and being left alone. He has been crate trained though, so there are options if you need to pop out. Car travel isn’t his favourite; he’s always keen to jump in with a waggy tail but can struggle when travelling. Cooper would love to find that special family willing and able to give him a chance. Add him as a favourite if you think that could be you!
