Are you right for Georgia?

Gorgeous Georgia is looking for her fur-ever home having spent some time with us here at the centre. She is looking for a family or single person who love long walks, finishing with a sofa snuggle. Her new adopters need to be patient and understanding of her needs and willing to work with our behaviour team to continue the work done here at the centre. This will ensure she and her future family are on the road to success! Space in the home is essential, unfortunately Georgia cannot live in a home with communal/open plan areas e.g. the kitchen, as she cannot control her love for food! Georgia can live with children aged 16 and over who understand to give her space and will be part of her ongoing training in the home. Georgia will need to live as the only dog in her new home as she likes to keep her toys and food to herself, however, she loves to meet doggy friends out and about on a walk and is regularly on walks with her doggy friends here at the centre. Georgia is a super clever lady who has a book of tricks ready to show you, including ‘sit’ ‘down’ ‘paw’ ‘touch’ ‘bed’. She is also learning how to settle in a crate and wear a muzzle while with us. She would need to have a private garden to allow her to go to the toilet when needed and to give her space to zoom off lead. Once settled into her new home, Georgia may be able to be left for 2-4 hours at a time, but this should be introduced slowly once she has had time to get used to her new family and surroundings. When left here at the centre she has been seen entertaining herself with her own toys. Georgia will need to meet her adopters multiple times prior to going home to build a strong. She will also need visits from our behaviour team once she goes home so adopters will need to live within an hour of driving distance from the Canterbury Rehoming Centre so please bear this in mind prior to applying for her.

Is Georgia right for you?

Introducing Georgia, the 2-year-old Border Collie cross German Shepherd. This lively little lady will keep you on your toes with her playful antics. Like both her breeds combined, she has a brain thirsty for learning, so if you’ve got the treats, she’s got the tricks! She has a real love for anything bacon flavoured! She loves her toys as well and plays by herself quite happily. This gorgeous lady deserves a special home to call her own and with time and patience you will have a fantastic companion. If you can give her what she needs, please get in touch.
