Border Collie Hugo is a playful, intelligent, and wonderfully unique 4-year-old, with a huge personality and an even bigger heart. If you think you know Collies, Hugo is here to surprise you in all the best ways... he’s much more about garden games, enrichment, and quality time with his people than going on big adventures! This clever boy loves activities that tap into his natural herding instincts, especially sheep ball, flirt pole, pattern games, and anything involving his toy box. Always ready for fun, Hugo will happily zoom around the garden, show off his tricks, and keep you entertained with his playful charm. Many of Hugo's previous applicants want a Collie to take on hill walks and hikes, however Hugo isn't this kind of Collie! While walks and open spaces can feel a little daunting for Hugo, he’s happiest enjoying his familiar garden space. Friendly with people and happy to greet polite dogs out and about, Hugo absolutely loves playing with other dogs too, sometimes so much that he doesn’t quite know when to stop! Because of this, he could potentially live with the right calm and tolerant dog companion who enjoys playful company. When it comes to walks, Hugo isn’t always comfortable joining in due to his worries around open spaces. The good news is that Hugo can happily be left for short periods, meaning his new family can still enjoy walkies with their other dog while Hugo relaxes safely at home. Hugo is housetrained, already knows lots of tricks, and is eager to keep learning with experienced owners who can continue building his confidence through positive training and enrichment. Hugo is looking for a quiet home with children aged 16+ where he can truly thrive. In return, he’ll offer endless affection, loyalty, and plenty of laughs along the way..
