Are you right for Drax?

Drax is a beautiful boy who is ready to find his forever home. He's a typical beagle and certainly loves the sound of his own voice! Drax is a sensitive boy and finds new experiences a little overwhelming, this can cause him to be reactive to new dogs, people and loud things going on around him. As he can be worried by new people, Drax is learning to wear a muzzle out on his walkies and he's loving all the treats he gets during his training sessions! He's been quite social with other dogs and has made some friends here, so we think he could live with a confident and tolerant dog following a meeting here at the centre and we think it would likely help his confidence by living with a pre-existing confident dog. Drax would like a peaceful home, away from too much hustle and bustle where he can enjoy adventures and exploring in the countryside. He could live with sensible and understanding children of 16+. A typical beagle, he doesn't have much recall so will need to be kept on lead or a longline. Drax has been in a home before where he was housetrained and happy to be left for a few hours, however this will need to be built up gradually leaving him with things to keep him busy such as a kong. Drax's new family will need to be able to come to the centre a few times to build a relationship with him and be able to get involved in his ongoing training with our team.

Is Drax right for you?

We recommend Drax's new family research the breed and are able to manage his mischievous nature. He does have some allergies which he's currently on medication for, these will need to be continued in his forever home.
