2015 sees the UK undergo a General Election. On the run up to this milestone event we have produced a dog manifesto to present to MP's and candidates reminding them of the needs of dogs and the key considerations we would like to see around dog welfare on the run up to the General Election.

Changes over the years
Dogs Trust will continue to raise awareness on the need to educate the public on the responsible purchasing of pets, and push for this to be supported by strengthening the law surrounding dog breeding and advertising.
Whilst legislation exists on breeding and selling dogs it is still evident that breeding conditions are not consistently satisfactory.
