As soon as the sun comes out we have all love to get out and make the most of it whilst it lasts. However, for us dog owners it’s very important to remember the hot weather might not be as much fun for our furry friends. Dogs don’t have the ability to take their coat off and they heat up quickly and cool down very differently to humans. They can get heatstroke which can result in serious complications for dogs. This is why each summer, Dogs Trust reminds owners of the importance of keeping your dog’s happy and safe in the warm weather. That means things like:

  • Planning walks at cooler time of the day
  • Not over exercising your dogs
  • Always having plenty of water for your dogs
  • Never leaving your dogs in a car 

This year to promote these important messages we are taking our Dogs Trust ice cream van on the road and giving out FREE dog friendly frozen yogurt out. Come see us at one of the following dates:
