A very special guest of honour
Getting married in 2019? On a day that’s all about love, it’s understandable that people want to include all the family in their wedding – including beloved four-legged friends.
We caught up with one couple who, with a little help from Dogs Trust, did just that. Read more to find out how you can do the same!
Sarah and Gavin’s dog Max was the guest of honour and "Best Dog" at their wedding in Scotland in November 2018.
Sarah and Gavin rehomed Max from Dogs Trust Glasgow in August 2016. Max attended the ceremony at Mount Stuart, even being allowed in to the marble chapel. Max’s carer, Tara, from Dogs Trust Glasgow, was also invited as she looked after Max for around four and a half years before Sarah and Gavin gave him a forever home.
The couple were generous enough to donate to Dogs Trust in the place of traditional wedding favours. Max’s outfit for the day included his special "Best Dog" bandana from Dogs Trust. We’re sure you’ll agree; the result makes for some stunning photos as you can see below. Congratulations to the happy couple!
