Here in the press office, we are passionate about dogs and dog welfare as well as communicating this to our journalist friends to make the world a better place for dogs and their owners.

Meet our spokespeople


  • Owen Sharp

    Chief Executive

    Owen Sharp has been Chief Executive of Dogs Trust since July 2019. He is Chairman of Dogs Trust Ireland and is responsible for the work of Dogs Trust Worldwide and Dogs Trust USA. He has two dogs of his own – Dixie the Labradoodle and Alexis the Saluki-cross.

  • Adam Clowes

    Operations Director

    Adam is responsible for the day-to-day running of our 20 rehoming centres in the UK, and all of our rehoming activity. Adam's background in operations at Royal Mail and Aldi, and his love of dogs means that he has the perfect combination of business know-how and passion for animal welfare.

  • Paula Boyden BVetMed MRCVS

    Veterinary Director

    Paula Boyden graduated from the Royal Veterinary College, University of London in 1992. She spent 11 years in general practice before moving into a technical role in industry in 2003.

    Paula joined Dogs Trust in 2010, where she is now Veterinary Director.
