Dogs Trust pooches sign on the dotted line to celebrate Deadline Day

It’s not just the likes of Danny Welbark and Spaniel Sturridge who are being linked with high profile transfers this #DeadlineDay (August 8th).

As football’s summer transfer window closes, rehoming charity Dogs Trust has been wheeling and dealing to complete its own incoming signings – who are now looking for new homes – as well as waving fond farewells to those who have departed for their forever homes.

Of course, we hope they will only be with us on a short-term loan basis. Here we bring you a selection of the doggy ins and outs this #DeadlineDay at Dogs Trust as the transfer window prepares to slam shut for another summer.

DONE DEAL! Buttons is a six-year-old Bichon Frise, who joins Dogs Trust Leeds. His main interest is food and we are excited to welcome him on board. He would make a fantastic team-mate to have in your squad.

SIGNING CONFIRMED! Whippet Jack has struck a deal to sign for Dogs Trust West Calder. He enjoys squeaky toys, meeting other dogs and walkies “on a cold Tuesday night in Scotland”. Could he be your Special One?

BARKING NEWS! Dogs Trust Bridgend can formally announce the arrival of three-year-old crossbreed Marley. He will be available to rehome in the coming days – does not come with his own football.

TRANSFER SEALED! A departure we are excited to announce is a farewell to Buster, a Parson Russell Terrier, who is leaving Dogs Trust Ballymena. He is getting to know his new family and is expected to make the transfer permanent imminently.
