Dogs Trust welcomes His Majesty the King as Patron

We are delighted to welcome His Majesty the King as our new Patron.

His Majesty the King becomes our new Patron
4th May 2024

Dogs Trust is honoured to announce that His Majesty the King will continue the royal patronage of the UK’s largest dog charity, following an announcement from Buckingham Palace yesterday.

Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II was patron of Dogs Trust from 1990 until her death in 2022.

As a world-famous dog lover Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s commendation was an invaluable support to the charity, which cares for and rehomes thousands of dogs each year while supporting owners through advice and advocacy programmes.

The charity is therefore delighted that His Majesty the King’s patronage will continue the tradition of royal support for the charity’s mission to give every dog a life worth living.

We are delighted to welcome His Majesty the King as our new Patron. The King’s passion and affection for dogs is clear for all to see, and his support will help us to continue the work we do to help dogs and the people who love them both here in the UK and across the world.
