Project objectives
- To investigate the demand for dogs, in particular acquisition behaviour. This will include understanding the motivations and influences that impact potential dog owners.
- Findings will be used to inform the design of interventions to encourage responsible dog selection and purchase decisions.
Publications
A review paper summarising published evidence investigating factors associated with the process of acquiring a pet dog. This paper was published in Animals journal in April 2019.
