You can sponsor our life-saving ambulance service, transporting vulnerable dogs on their road to recovery for just £5 a month.*

Our dog ambulances travel thousands of miles every week, transporting dogs safely to the support they need.

Dogs might need life-saving transport because:

  • They’ve been found as a stray
  • They’re at risk of unnecessary euthanasia in council pounds
  • They require veterinary or behaviour interventions from certain centres in our network

No matter the reason they need our help, our ambulance service will step in to get these dogs in their time of desperate need back on their paws.  

How your sponsorship helps 

Our fleet of ambulances are all purpose-built, with 18 comfy kennels of different sizes inside so we can make a difference to as many dogs as possible.

Wombat the Border Collie was helped by Dogs Trust's ambulance service

Wombat's story

Wombat is a roughly 2 year old Collie who arrived as a stray. He received a full veterinary and behavioural exam and was found to be an anxious but healthy boy. Our ambulance team determined that his best chance for a new life was being transferred to our Canterbury centre, where he could begin building his confidence.

Yazoo's story

Yazoo arrived into our care when her owner was no longer able to care for her. She was feeling anxious when she arrived and sought reassurance from our wonderful ambulance team. They transported Yazoo to our Glasgow centre so that she could begin finding a forever home as quickly as possible.

  • Our life-saving ambulance service has been operating since 1926 - over 100 years!
  • In 2025, our ambulances travelled a total of 161,055 miles!
  • Over a thousand dogs are transported in our ambulances each year!

What sponsors receive

When you sponsor an ambulance you will receive:

  • A leaflet and a welcome video giving you behind-the-scenes insights into our ambulance service
  • A window sticker and trolley token keyring, so you can be reminded of the impact of your support
  • Digital updates three times a year, in the New Year, in Spring and in Autumn, with information about the dogs who have been saved by our ambulance service and the amazing humans that keep our ambulance fleet running.
