When Muffin was found, she was lying alone in a field near a busy motorway. She was cold, weak and barely able to move. Her frail body was covered in sores, and her fur was patchy and matted from neglect. She had been fending for herself, desperately trying to survive as cars roared past just metres away. It is hard to imagine what might have happened if she had not been found when she was.

After a kind couple found Muffin by the motorway, she was brought into our care and given immediate veterinary attention. Her skin was inflamed and painful, and she was clearly in distress. Our veterinary team began gentle treatment to soothe her skin. She received medicated baths every few days, along with sprays and vital medication. Her ears were badly infected and inflamed, so they were treated too.
Once safe in our care, Muffin began to heal. As her pain eased, her true personality slowly returned. Her tail began to wag again, and her trust in people started to grow. It is only thanks to generous donations from our loyal supporters that dogs like Muffin can receive the urgent medical treatment and love they so desperately need to survive.
