Without your support today, it wouldn’t be possible to offer rescued and overbred dog mums the rehabilitation and respite they desperately need to finally live a life free from pain and suffering.

Dogs like Remi.

After what was likely years spent being forced to breed, Remi, a beautiful 8-year-old Golden Retriever, somehow made it out. 

But her suffering didn’t end there.

Heavily pregnant and with no one to claim her, she found herself in a pound where her future was once again uncertain.

Pounds aren’t equipped to take on the needs of severely neglected dogs like Remi, let alone support her birth and litter of puppies. So without any where to go, dogs like her face being put to sleep.

Thankfully the pound was able to reach out to us, and we sent our vital ambulance service the hundreds of miles to collect Remi and her unborn pups and bring them safely into our care. 

It was clear Remi had never known kindness or joy, and her body bore signs of neglect, scars and repeated breeding. She was scared and exhausted.

We gently settled her into our special puppy unit, where she gave birth to seven adorable puppies, finally in safety and comfort. She’s an incredible mum.

Ensuring mum and pups have everything they need to thrive is an around the clock job, and only possible because of you.

Once her pups were properly weaned, we began building Remi’s confidence with gentle exercise and exposure to home like environments, to help prepare her for the future she so desperately deserved. 

Without you, dogs like Remi and her pups are at risk.

Slowly but surely Remi was starting to feel whole again, ready to find love and happiness.

But there are so many like her still in need.

Right now, unethical, illegal and unscrupulous breeders have begun the cycle to meet the Christmas puppy demand, putting thousands of dogs lives at risk. And for the mums like Daisy who are forever left behind, the risk is never ending.

Day after day they’re pushed to breaking point - and we need to be there to pick up the pieces.
