Are you right for Missy?

Missy can live with children of high school age but not other pets, though she can walk with calm dogs. We have limited history for her but we know she has been in a home so is most likely house trained, but we can't guarantee it. She may need someone at home with her most of the time initially.

Is Missy right for you?

Missy is a Staffy-lover's Staffy! She's Staffy sized, Staffy minded and loves to sploot down on the floor with a toy! She is very playful and will throw toys around for as long as you'll let her. She has settled well into centre life and takes everything in her stride, lapping up all the attention she's been getting form people. Missy loves to go out for walks but she sometimes gets a little giddy initially and has grabbed the lead on occasion. It seems to be a habit she's developed and is easily managed and shouldn't be encouraged so that it doesn't become a bigger problem. Missy shows some interest in meeting other dogs but her reactions have been hit and miss. we would advise that she is the only dog at home but some social interactions would be nice, but sensibly done, not allowing her to approach every dog. Missy is a bright dog and already knows a sit and paw. She will give you a down but often resorts to rolling on her back and we suspect she may have had some overly rough handling in the past. Further training for Missy should be reward based and fun. She has no problem with getting in a car, in fact she barely gave us time to open the boot before hurling herself in it!
