Barney is an absolutely beautiful boy, despite recently celebrating his 9th birthday he's still true to his spaniel ways and has plenty of spirit! Top of Barney's favourite list is definitely his toys closely followed by treats and showing off his trick skills. He's lived in a home, he's mastered his basic training and can be left for short periods.
Type of home needed
Barney is currently awaiting cruciate surgery. He is looking for someone who can care for him and give him some extra TLC and home comforts whilst he recovers from his operation. This could either be as a full adoption or a foster situation. He is currently visiting our vet regularly to help him feel more confident with handling before his operation. Barney is a project dog who will require a lot of understanding and support. Our team have already seen him progress while he has been with us and he should be a rewarding project.
More about me
Barney can have doggy walking friends, but would prefer to be the only pet in the home. He'll need an adult only home and his new family may need to visit the centre several times to bond with him first. Barney will need to be kept on lead around livestock.
