I am currently looking for my new family. To apply to rehome me please click on the 'Rehoming me starts here' button below. Applications will close when I have found a suitable match. Please note if you rent your property, you must be able to provide written permission from your landlord to keep a dog. We will not be able to reserve any dog until we have received this. If you are shortlisted for this dog please be aware a meet will be arranged at the centre within 48 hours.

Type of home needed

Ozzie is a sensitive lad looking for a quiet home with owners who ideally have experience with his breed. He has heaps of energy as well as being an intelligent boy so will need owners keen to keep him both physically and mentally stimulated. Ozzie hasn't had the easiest of starts and has spent a lot of his life outdoors so will need a family patient and understanding of him who will help introduce him to the comforts of home life. With his favourite canine carers, he has started to enjoy a nice calm cuddle. Ozzie is looking for an adult only home and would love his own private, secure garden to burn some steam off in.

More about me

6-year-old awesome Ozzie can be quite worried around other dogs so will need to be the only pet in the home and would like quiet walking areas nearby so that he can enjoy nice, chilled walks. Ozzie can be left alone for short periods of time but longer leaving hours need to be build up slowly. A family keen on training and rehabilitation would be ideal, and our training and behaviour team will be on hand to help every step of the way. Ozzie has a lot of potential in the right household and really deserves a loving forever home!

Thank you for your interest in rehoming a dog from our Basildon Rehoming Centre in Essex.

The first step to rehoming from us is to complete our online application form. We’ll review your application and if we think you could be a good match for the dog, we’ll give you a call to chat in more detail.

When reviewing applications, we're looking at how closely your lifestyle matches the needs of the dog. If we have lots of strong matches, then we'll start with the family that applied first.

We may arrange a virtual home check to find out more about you, your lifestyle, and the home you can offer. We may also make an appointment for you to come and meet a dog at the centre.

Start your online application now.

We aim to respond to all rehoming applications within five working days. If you have not heard from us within five working days, unfortunately you have been unsuccessful this time.
