Diego is a 6 year old photogenic boy who is a big character here at the centre. He is loved by all the canine carers and all he needs is some extra help getting to know you. Once he does he is an affectionate boy who enjoys his training and a fuss from the people he knows best. He prefers to be in places he recognises and feels safe and when he feels comfortable he's up for a game of tug or chase. He can be a strong boy on lead, he will avoid dogs in the distance and is not sure on how to meet and greet them in person. Once settled into a new home socialisation with other dogs when on his walks can be managed with the help of our Behaviour Team.
Type of home needed
Diego is looking for a fun active home and would rather live with adults only. He has some basics and came to the centre as a stray so may need help with house training. He would prefer to be the only dog in the home and leaving time needs to be built up gradually. He tends to do his own thing rather than be the centre of attention amongst people so needs a home where he will get plenty of space. The Behaviour Team will help and support owners to transition him into his new family.
