Miss Teen Norfolk Galaxy visits Dogs Trust Snetterton
Miss Teen Norfolk Galaxy 2018, Lauren Newton aged 15 visited Dogs Trust Snetterton’s rehoming centre last week to learn more about the charity’s work and meet some of their four-legged residents.
The Wymondham-based teen won the Miss Teen Norfolk Galaxy 2018 title and will be competing for Miss Teen Galaxy UK 2019 in March next year, if she wins the crown for Miss Galaxy, she will then face the International Galaxy pageant in Florida.
“The rehoming centre at Snetterton is so amazing, I never realised just how many facilities they have for all of the dogs in their care!
“From hearing some of the stories around some of the dogs, it’s clear to see the amazing care that they provide here, and I also love how they never give up on a dog.
“It’s so inspirational seeing how far all the dogs have come and all the things they have overcome thanks to the wonderful staff here.
“The staff are truly amazing people and so welcoming.”
“In the next few months I will be doing lots to help out in my community and doing as much charity work as possible. My goal is to raise £400 through various activities. In the future I would also love to set up my own anti-bullying campaign to raise awareness and make others feel they have someone there for them, who understands what they are going through.”
Dogs Trust Snetterton’s Supporter Relations Officer Paige Langton said:
“Our thanks to Lauren for her visit to the centre. It’s great that she takes such an interest in canine welfare and we wish her luck with her charity work over the next few months.”
