Dogs Trust Salisbury announce date for annual Fun Day
There’s lots of waggy tails at Dogs Trust Salisbury as they announce the date of their annual fun day. Taking place at the rehoming centre on Sunday 10th June 2018 from 11.00am to 4.00pm – this fun-filled day is great for the whole family and the rehoming centre is pulling out all the stops to make the event bigger and better than ever.
The charity has a number of stall positions available and is appealing to local businesses to get in touch to secure a spot at the event. The team would also be extremely grateful for any donations of prizes for the raffle and tombola.
Lucy Hooper, Supporter Relations Officer at Dogs Trust Salisbury said:
“Our fun day is a fantastic opportunity to meet local dog lovers and raise pounds for the homeless hounds in our care. There are all sorts of fun activities planned throughout the day so please come along and support Dogs Trust Salisbury, we can promise you a really fun day out for all the family!
“The raffles, games and stalls play a huge role in the day, and we still have a number of spaces left for stallholders at the event. Previously, there has been array of stalls selling anything from homemade doggy treats, to local food and drink suppliers and trinkets for the home. But spots are limited so we are encouraging people to get in touch as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
“We’re expecting thousands of visitors on the day, so it’s a great opportunity to be amongst lots of people and join in the fun with two and four-legged friends!”
Highlights of the day include a have-a-go agility, a grand raffle, giant tombola and games for all the family including those of the four-legged variety who may even be able to win their very own rosette in the fun dog show! There will also be a variety of Dogs Trust merchandise available to buy on the day and delicious refreshments to enjoy.
The entrance fee is £2 for adults and £1 for children, and dogs are free.
For those who would like to donate items for the raffle, please drop prizes into the Salisbury rehoming centre at 45 Amesbury Road, Newton Tony, SP4 0HW. If you are interested in having a stall at the event, please email Lucy Hooper, Supporter Relations Officer on [email protected]
