Giant lap dog Rico seeks home comforts

Dogs Trust Newbury rehoming appeal

Big bundle of love, Rico, is an adorable three-year-old American Bulldog who thinks he’s a lap dog – he doesn’t care that he’s too big!

He’s heaps of fun and enjoys going out in the car to explore new places – as long as he can come home to a nice big sofa to snooze on.

Nicki Barrow, Rehoming Centre Manager at Dogs Trust Newbury, said:

“Rico is a wonderful character who is such a snuggle bug! He loves to cuddle up with his favourite people and enjoys resting his head on your lap for a snooze.

“He loves to play with his toys, especially footballs, but his favourite past time is sleeping so he’s happy as long as he can chill out in his bed after a run around.

“He’s an affectionate, well-mannered boy and has good basic training but would enjoy a home that is happy to continue this to help him reach his full potential. If you’re into exploring new paces, Rico would be your perfect pal as he travels really well in the car and is always up for an adventure – as long as he can come back to his home comforts! As long as you don’t mind a big lap dog, Rico could be the one for you!”

Rico needs to be the only pet in the home and could potentially live with teenage children who are used to big dogs.If you think you’re the special someone that Rico has been waiting for, please contact Dogs Trust Newbury on 0300 303 0292 or visit www.dogstrust.org.uk.
