Dogs Trust Merseyside appeals for donations to make special day “paw-fect”
With just over a month to go to the big day, Dogs Trust Merseyside is hoping dog-loving locals come to its rescue and donate everything from chocolates to wine and long-forgotten unwanted Christmas presents for its Summer Fun Day.
The team’s eyes are firmly set on making the family day-out at Inglenook Farm in Saint Helens the best ever, but to make that happen they rely on donations from supporters across the region.
Aimee Best, Supporter Relations Officer at the Huyton Rehoming Centre says:
“The support we received last year was amazing so we want to make sure we have great prizes for our tombola and raffle and we would also like items for children’s prizes too.
“It is a case of the more varied the donations the better! New toys for the children and toiletry sets for adults always go down well, as do things that most of us love such as chocolates and wine. We would also love businesses to donate experiences such as theatre tickets and spa days.
“We care for hundreds of homeless dogs every year and every penny raised goes to making sure they have the best lives possible whilst they are waiting for their forever homes.”
The Summer Fun Day is on Sunday 3 June, 12noon-4pm, at Inglenook Farm, Moss Nook Lane, Rainford, Saint Helens, WA11 8AE. If you are able to donate something please pop along to the centre or call Aimee on 0151 949 5518.
