Dogs Trust brings retro retail therapy to Bingham
Dogs Trust officially opened the doors of their latest charity shop in Bingham last week (Thursday 12 July) with the help of the local Mayor, councillor Jane Costello.
The Dogs Trust shop on Market Place offers a wide range of second hand goods from clothing to household items to books and DVDs. Savvy shoppers and their canine companions will be able to browse the store together and all money raised will go towards Dogs Trust.
The manager of the new shop, Dee Lambert, said:
“We are delighted to have officially opened the shop here in Bingham which is a fantastic place with a strong community spirit. We have already received so many generous donations but would be so grateful for any extra items that can be spared. We’ll be stocking everything and anything – from books and clothes to ornaments and household items so come on down and bag yourself a bargain.”
VIP (Very Important Pooch), Shih Tzu Dudley, joined Town Mayor, Jane Costello in meeting both the two-legged and four-legged guests at the opening, who flooded into the shop as soon as the doors opened.
Ms Costello said:
“I was thrilled to be at the opening of Dogs Trust’s new shop in Bingham. The store is fantastic and all the money goes to a very worthy cause. I hope the local community come along and pick up a bargain, there’s so much on offer! It was a pleasure to meet the team and perhaps shoppers will also be tempted to pop along to the Loughborough rehoming centre and adopt a four-legged friend.”
The new Bingham Dogs Trust shop is located at 5, Market Place, Bingham NG13 8AB. The store will be open 9am-5pm Monday to Saturday and 10am-4pm on Sundays. The shop is looking for donations of all shapes and sizes, particularly clothing and accessories. All funds raised through the shop will go towards funding Dogs Trust’s work across the country.
