Adoption advisor at Dogs Trust Basildon falls for senior lurcher after fostering an amazing 57 dogs in total
One of Dogs Trust Basildon’s adoption advisors Tarryn Peinke has fallen for resident Lurcher Cross; Oliver, at the grand old age of twelve. Tarryn fostered Oliver for two weeks before realising she couldn’t bear to let him go.
Golden oldie Oliver stole Tarryn’s heart in a short space of time and his friendly temperament as well as little quirks, like bringing you his toys as a present meant that she made the decision that she would be the one to provide him with his happy ever after.
“I’ve always fostered for the rehoming centre, it’s so rewarding to help with dogs that might find the kennel environment more difficult to deal with. I worked out that Oliver was the 57th dog that I’ve fostered, but he’s the first that I’ve not been able to part with. I just couldn’t resist his personality and his lovely smile. He’s stolen my heart, and my home!”
Dogs Trust Basildon’s Rehoming Centre Manager Lisa Cooper added:
“Oliver is a great dog and I’m not surprised that Tarryn became smitten with him so quickly. We’re so pleased he’s found his special someone, and this means we’re guaranteed to have constant and regular updates on his latest antics too!”
