Rehoming Centres

Campaigns Vet Nurse - North East England

We are looking for a qualified and confident Vet Nurse to support the North of England Campaigns Manager and provide outstanding veterinary/customer care to our clients, whilst delivering Dogs Trust key messages. The successful candidate must be comfortable working in a community setting, delivering welfare and veterinary advice to a broad range of clients from different backgrounds. The candidate will also be required to travel from Darlington Rehoming Centre, using a team vehicle, to venues across the North East of England – normally, on average, no more than two hours travelling time involved in long distance journeys. Administration duties will be undertaken one or two days per week based at Darlington Rehoming Centre.

LOCATION: Based at Darlington Rehoming Centre, but with regular work around the North East region 4 days per week.

Campaigns Vet Nurse - North West England

Senior Training and Behaviour Advisor - South West England

Reporting to the Head of Behaviour and Training, the Senior TBA will have a thorough understanding of canine behaviour, ethology, physiology, learning theory and welfare, and is expected to be at the forefront of canine behavioural and training knowledge. He or she is expected to assist the Head of Behaviour and Training in devising and delivering training courses for Dogs Trust staff and outside agencies incorporating the most up to date thinking on these subjects and to visit Rehoming Centres to help and advise as necessary and as requested.

LOCATION: Home-based

DAYS OF WORK: Monday - Friday

Training and Behaviour Advisor - Dogs Trust Harefield

The Training and Behaviour Adviser (TBA) is responsible for assessing pre-intake and newly arrived dogs, designing and implementing dog training and behaviour modification programmes for these and other dogs in our care. Also responsible for training Canine Carers to implement behavioural training programmes and for advising members of the public in the handling and training of dogs adopted from Dogs Trust.

Canine Carer 2 Dog Trainer - Dogs Trust Harefield

Working under the direction of the Training & Behaviour Adviser and management staff to assess dogs, develop and implement training programmes for them and advise and supervise other Canine Carers in dog training. The post holder will also supervise and support the work of Canine Carers and occasionally may be required to take an active part in Canine Carer duties.

Community Fundraising Assistant

We are reliant on voluntary donations in order to continue our work. As part of this, Dogs Trust has a large number of supporters who wish to support us through fundraising in their local community and through participating in sporting events and challenges. There is potential to increase funds from these sources significantly in order to continue the expansion of our work. As a result, the Dogs Trust Community Fundraising Assistant will support our existing Community Fundraising Officer to deliver a first class community fundraising experience for our existing and new supporters.
