The successful candidate will work as part of a team delivering first class, professional customer service, to ensure where possible customer enquiries and complaints are resolved at the first point of contact. You will complete numerous admin tasks including the preparation of handover and adoption packs, and promote Dogs Trust services and maximise rehoming opportunities.

DAYS OF WORK: Wednesday 11.30am – 7.30pm, Friday 9am – 5pm

Temporary Events Assistant - Dogs Trust Darlington

The role of Temporary Event Assistant is primarily to support the Supporter Relations Officer with the organisation of their annual Fun Day, the main fundraising event for each rehoming centre. The position will be based mainly at a Dogs Trust Rehoming Centre.

Visitor Host - Dogs Trust Manchester

The Visitor Host will ensure that all visitors receive a warm and personalised welcome to the Rehoming Centre and are supplied with the information that they need, answering any queries that they may have in an informed way. Completing any administrative tasks accurately and within given deadlines.

DAYS OF WORK: Mon – Fri and regular weekend working (2 out of 3)

Regional Press Officer - Dogs Trust Evesham

Based at the Dogs Trust Evesham Rehoming Centre, this role will develop and implement comprehensive communications strategies for five Dogs Trust rehoming centres in line with our mission, values and overall communications plan. Reporting to the London-based press office the post-holder will develop excellent relationships with local media, celebrities, opinion formers and other key stakeholders to create PR opportunities and increase public awareness. As a regional extension of the Comms team the role will have responsibility for national and regional media work around the five rehoming centres and the surrounding areas. These five Rehoming Centres include Evesham, Kenilworth, Salisbury, Bridgend and Ilfracombe. The Regional Press Officer will keep each rehoming centre manager informed of all local press and PR activity and ensure that it supports the interests of each centre as far as possible.

Campaigns Vet Nurse - London and South East

We are looking for a confident, qualified Veterinary Nurse to help promote the work of the Campaigns department. You will attend estate roadshows, events in open spaces, community halls and other sites to reach communities with high unemployment/low income. Working with the Campaigns team, you will carry out basic health checks, promote responsible dog ownership messages, microchip dogs, offer help and advice on how to keep a dog healthy and other welfare issues. The role will include indoor and outdoor working in all weathers in community settings, liaising with stakeholders and travelling around London and the South East. You must be comfortable working with a variety of different people, dogs of all shapes and sizes, keen to take on new challenges and ideally have some experience working for an animal charity.

Senior Training and Behaviour Advisor - South West England

Dogs Trust is looking for a Senior Training Behaviour Advisor in the south west region, who has considerable experience in the assessment and rehabilitation of dogs. You should have an in-depth knowledge of dog behaviour and welfare, and be able to critically evaluate new approaches, therapies or treatments in the area.You will be confident in handling dogs which come from a range of different backgrounds, be able to discuss treatment strategies with other Dogs Trust staff, centre managers and veterinary teams, and be enthusiastic about mentoring other staff. You will also have the ability and confidence to help devise and deliver training courses within Dogs Trust. An animal behaviour or welfare qualification would be an advantage. A full clean driving license is also an essential for this role.

LOCATION: South West and home-based
