A position working alongside and under the supervision of the Head Coach, the Senior Coach will help to provide dog training classes to the general public as well as adopters of Dogs Trust dogs, to organise and execute seminars and workshops by external speakers and Dogs Trust Staff, and provide workshops and seminars for the general public on dog handling, training and behaviour under the guidance and direction of the Dog School Manager and the Head of Training and Behaviour.

DAYS OF WORK: Monday - Sunday

WORKING TIMES: Shifts to vary in length and start times, between the hours of 8am – 10pm

Canine Carer 2 Volunteer Coordinator - Dogs Trust Darlington

The Volunteering Co-ordinator will be responsible for co-ordinating all of the volunteering opportunities as part of the Rehoming Centre’s operations. This includes recruiting, selecting and inducting effectively, helping ensure good day to day supervision and management of volunteers and ensuring good volunteer standards are achieved. The post-holder will work with and build strong relationships with staff across the centre and the organisation to deliver an excellent standard of volunteering experience, identifying new areas for volunteer involvement as appropriate. They will liaise with the Supporter Relations Officer, over volunteer support for fundraising activities, and with the local Dogs Trust Charity Shop Managers over any volunteers shared between the shops and the rehoming centre.

DAYS OF WORK: Sunday - Thursday

Rehoming Centre Manager - Dogs Trust Canterbury

The Rehoming Centre Manager is responsible for the effective and efficient daily management of the Rehoming Centre, ensuring that it operates within Dogs Trust's codes of practice and Health & Safety guidelines, in order to find suitable homes for the maximum number of dogs. The Manager will lead, develop and manage a dedicated team of around 25 staff to care for and rehome over 550 dogs per annum, working towards the day when all dogs can enjoy a happy life free from the threat of unnecessary destruction. Canterbury is a well-established rural centre with facilities for approximately 60 dogs offering on site veterinary care along with training and rehabilitation facilities.

DAYS OF WORK: 2 week rota working every other weekend

WORKING TIMES: 8am - 5pm, with occasional late shifts (11am - 8pm)

Veterinary Nurse - Dogs Trust Loughborough

As instructed by the Rehoming Centre Manager (RCM), the Veterinary Nurse (VN) will work under the direction of the Centre Veterinary Surgeon (CVS) and Dogs Trust Veterinary Director/Deputy Veterinary Director to care for and improve the welfare of dogs housed in the Centre. The VN will assist in the examination and treatment of dogs, maintain clinical protocols and standards and ensure high standards of animal welfare, hygiene and nursing care are maintained. Coordinating the running of the Vet Suite and working collaboratively with a team of onsite canine health experts, the VN will manage the veterinary care of the Centre dogs. This role is part of the centre management team so includes supervision of the Veterinary Nurse Assistant (VNA). It also includes general centre supervisory duties such as the opening of the site, delivering the morning team briefing with the occasional requirement to manage the whole centre.

Dogs Trust is seeking a Philanthropy Officer with a solid track record of reaching financial targets, working with high net worth individuals to cultivate prospects and secure six figure gifts. In this role you'll contribute to the development and growth of the philanthropy programme, supporting the Head of Philanthropy in cultivating and stewarding existing and new major donors, working alongside an existing Philanthropy Officer and Assistant. You will research and identify new prospects to build a pipeline, produce research briefs and map networks to establish and suggest appropriate methods of approach. You will lead on a series of cultivation events to introduce new prospects to Dogs Trust, be comfortable in making the ask and ensure all major donors receive the highest standards of donor care.
