Rehoming Centres

Training and Behaviour Advisor - Dogs Trust Kenilworth

You must be able to competently and empathetically handle many different breeds of dog in a kennel environment, some of which may display unwanted behaviours. Working with the support of the management team you will develop dog training programmes, and implement them, using positive re-enforcement techniques. You will work alongside Canine Carers and supervise their training techniques, encouraging and improving their skill sets where applicable. To compliment this very hands-on role you will be an excellent communicator who can confidently provide advice to the new owners of our dogs should a problem develop once the dogs are adopted. You will be able to use a basic computer programme, and keep reports updated in a timely fashion. The ideal candidate will be committed to the aims and value of Dogs Trust, be experienced in working with dogs in a kennel environment and hold a full, clean, manual UK driving licence.

DAYS OF WORK: Monday - Sunday - Four week rolling rota

WORKING TIMES: 8.15am - 8.00pm

Receptionist - Dogs Trust Snetterton

As our full-time Receptionist, you will be working in a busy office environment; undertaking general office administration, filing, answering the telephone and greeting visitors to the Centre. You must have a good telephone manner and excellent people skills. The ideal candidate must be committed to the aims and values of Dogs Trust. A full, clean, manual driving licence is essential.

Canine Carer - Dogs Trust Snetterton

We’re looking for a passionate and dynamic individual to join our team of Canine Carers to work in our busy rehoming centre. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator with a positive, upbeat attitude who is committed to the aims and objectives of Dogs Trust. Your duties will include preparation of food, exercising, administering medicine and grooming the dogs as instructed. Keeping a high standard of cleanliness of all areas the dogs use is also an important part of the role. The successful candidate will also interact with the general public as they come into the Centre. A strong team player, you must have lots of energy, the ability to be flexible and show empathy to people and animals. A current, clean, manual driving licence with access to a car and a good level of fitness.

Supporter Relations Officer - Dogs Trust Shoreham

The role of the Supporter Relations Officer is to promote legacies and high level gifts. They also ensure first-class customer care for all Dogs Trust supporters, but particularly, legacy pledgers and legacy intenders, high value donors and dog sponsors. The position will be based at a Dogs Trust Rehoming Centre. The Supporter Relations Officer will join a growing team that is part of the Fundraising/Marketing Department. He/she will be in close contact with and will report each week to the Head of Supporter Relations. You will be able to work independently, and have good organisational skills – with the ability to manage and prioritise your own workload. You will have had experience dealing with the general public, and the ability to build relationships with donors. Creative and imaginative ideas for promoting legacies and the Canine Carer Card Scheme in the local area is a must. You must have a full clean manual driving licence.

CONTRACT END DATE: TBC - minimum 6 months

WORKING TIMES: 9am- 5pm

Contact Centre Agent - Dogs Trust Manchester

Would you like be part of a customer service focused team where you leave at the end of the day feeling you have made a difference? If so then this could be the job for you! The Contact Centre Agent is responsible for providing excellent customer service by efficiently handling inbound & outbound calls and emails for our network of 21 Rehoming Centres around the UK & Ireland, dealing effectively with any queries at first point of contact or transferring them to a Rehoming Centre if appropriate. Rehoming Centre Manager - Dogs Trust Ilfracombe

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced manager for our Ilfracombe Rehoming Centre. Managing and leading a team of around 16 staff, you will be responsible for the well-being of the dogs in our care and ensuring the Centre operates in line with Dogs Trust policies to find homes for as many dogs as possible. You will have a strong background in staff and operational management, be media friendly and have excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills. You will be highly motivated and a determined and passionate advocate of our work. You will combine an interest in dog welfare with a commitment to our ethos and mission. On-site accommodation is available and you will work 40 hours per week, including two week-ends each month, some late shifts (working to 8pm) and occasional night duties. A full, clean, manual, driving licence is essential.

They amend supporter letters on the database, deal with payments and correspondence received from an external agency and process high value payments as well as assisting with incoming calls and escalated calls when needed.
