Our Salisbury Rehoming Centre is looking for a temporary assistant to help with the organisation of their annual Fun Day. This is a diverse role and will include: dealing with volunteers, general administration, dealing with external stall holders and visitors to the centre, and setting up for the Fun Day. You will need demonstrable communication skills, a good level of IT skills, excellent organisational abilities and the ability to work well under pressure within a small team. A full, clean, manual driving licence is a must.

Contract Type:

Fixed Term - 6 week contract, 35 hours

Assistant Training and Behaviour Advisor - Dogs Trust Manchester

A position working under the supervision of, the (Senior) Training and Behaviour Advisor (TBA), the Assistant Training and Behaviour Advisor assists with behavioural assessments of dogs, designing and implementing dog training and behaviour modification programmes consistent with Dogs Trust Policies and training Canine Carers to implement behavioural training programmes. This role also helps provide appropriate advice to members of the public in the handling and training of dogs adopted from Dogs Trust. The successful candidate will have a good knowledge of dog behaviour and welfare, along with good communication skills and ability and experience in handling difficult dogs. They will have a good knowledge of Learning Theory and be able to apply it accordingly to each, individual dog. They will also understand the impact that aversive techniques have on the success (or failure) of Behaviour Modification Programs as well as the impact on welfare for each individual dog.

Education and Community Officer - Home based, until the Evesham Rehoming Centre is rebuilt completely

Our Education & Community Officers educate children and young people on responsible dog ownership - targeting communities with particularly bad social problems, through schools, youth groups, young offenders institutes etc. Workshops use the theme of dog ownership as a platform for developing self-esteem, confidence, responsibility, communication and teamwork skills. The successful candidate will have a teaching qualification and experience of delivering self-development activities with young people. The Education and Community Officer will be highly organised and creative with a confident, outgoing personality and a willingness to work in a “dog” environment. A full, clean, manual driving licence is essential.

Corporate Partnerships Manager

We are seeking to appoint an experienced Corporate Partnerships Manager. This is a new post and the successful candidate will lead on the implementation of the charity's corporate partnerships strategy. The post holder will have responsibility for developing all initiatives related to corporate partnerships, including corporate social responsibility, cause related marketing, charity of the year, employee engagement – e.g., payroll giving, matched giving, and volunteering. The successful candidate will bring extensive account management experience and help us take our existing corporate partnerships to the next level. Philanthropy Manager

We are investing in our newly formed Philanthropy & Corporate Partnerships Team and are seeking an experienced Philanthropy (Major Donor) Manager. This is a new post and the successful candidate will lead on the implementation of the charity's major donor strategy. The post holder will be responsible for delivering significant growth in fundraising income from major donors. You will have responsibility for developing a new pipeline of major donor prospects, including cultivation and solicitation of new gifts; whilst also managing stewardship of our existing major donors. The post will suit someone with extensive experience of major donor fundraising, excellent relationship management skills, experience of delivering events as a strategic engagement tool, knowledge of research processes and delivering excellent donor care and stewardship. They will line manage members of a growing major gifts team.

You will have extensive experience of delivering celebrity support as an integrated part of a campaign, a persuasive writing style and experience of drafting formal strategy and communications for a variety of audiences. You will understand fundraising strategies, be skilled at generating column inches and able to work under pressure. Willing to travel, you will also work irregular hours as required.
