What we do
We want to solve the problem of why there are so many unwanted dogs in the UK and seek to achieve this through practical measures and awareness-raising initiatives to educate and inform dog-owners and prospective dog-owners.
In the last year...
- We have started building our West London and Glasgow centres - open for business March 2006 and Summer 2006 repectively.
- We found new homes for a total of 10,119 dogs last year.
- Our Regional Campaigns made a real difference to the lives of dogs. We constantly notice a year on year drop in the number of stray dogs and destructions in these areas.- all thanks to our work.
- Dogs Trust Chief Executive Clarissa Baldwin with her rescue dog Bumble, joined Dogs Trust in 1974 when the organisation was just a small team.
Today she heads an organisation employing more than 500 staff at our Head Office, 17 Rehoming Centres and out in the field.
